Dana S. Durrett

A native of Atlanta, Dana Durrett grew up around the healthcare industry. His father practiced medicine for 37 years, his sister owns her own practice and his brother-in-law and father-in-law are physicians. As such, Mr. Durrett came to understand early on both the satisfaction and struggle of the healthcare industry. He uses this understanding to serve healthcare companies today.

Dana is well-known in Georgia's healthcare bar and an active member in the American Health Lawyers Association. Prior to opening The Durrett Firm, Dana had the privilege of practicing with Atlanta's best healthcare lawyers at a large nationwide law firm and a small boutique firm.

Dana has a reputation for being a problem-solver, a negotiator, an advocate and a gentleman. He is devoted to his clients, and believes it is essential to put their needs first. He has broad experience in serving a variety of clients, including both private companies and public companies. His legal experience spans dispute resolution, Certificate of Need, licensure, reimbursement, transactions and acquisitions, among other matters.

Mariah Martinez


Practice Manager

A native of Atlanta, Mariah Martinez graduated from California State University in Criminal Justice before working in the hospitality industry for four years. Mariah worked at two of the most prestigious resorts in the United States, the Ritz Carlton, Santa Barbara and San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. There, Mariah served in management and security roles and gained world-class training in customer service.

Mariah has brought these skills to The Durrett Firm. Along with her excellent administrative and business skills, she has revolutionized the way in which we serve and communicate with our clients. Our clients appreciate her thoroughness, thoughtfulness and kindness, and we know you will, too.

Lee Earnest

Lee Earnest comes to The Durrett Firm from a well-known boutique healthcare law firm in Atlanta.

Lee has significant legal experience on a broad array of healthcare matters, including regulatory compliance, transactions, executive employment agreements and corporate structure. Concerning these matters, he has served clients such as management services organizations, physician practices, physicians, hospitals and suppliers.

Lee not only graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law (where he served as Articles Editor on the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology), but also obtained an L.L.M. in Health Law from Georgia State University. Prior to law school Lee worked for a healthcare software company.

Lee enjoys any chance to learn about something new, and his personal interests include film, history and musical theater.

Michael Gay

Michael Gay comes to The Durrett Firm after having worked at two well-known corporate and real estate law firms in Atlanta.

Michael has significant legal experience in a broad range of transactional and corporate matters. These include contract drafting, corporate structuring and lending transactions, among many others.

In addition to Michael’s legal career, he has considerable business experience. He received an accounting degree from Berry College, and thereafter worked as a corporate accountant, chief financial officer, and business manager prior to attending law school.

Michael graduated with honors from Mercer University School of Law where he served on the Mercer Law Review and participated in multiple student organizations.

Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching baseball, and studying history.

The Firm’s clients enjoy working with Michael, as he is organized, proactive and friendly.
